Two Arrested After Christmas Day Assault in Worksop

Man Left Unconscious with Serious Head Injuries

Christmas Day turned grim in Worksop when a 22-year-old man was found unconscious on Newcastle Street at around 6pm. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the attack. The victim suffered severe head injuries and was swiftly taken to hospital.

Two Men Held by Police

Officers have arrested two men, aged 44 and 34, in connection with the assault. Both remain in police custody as detectives dig deeper into the shocking incident.

Crime Scene Locked Down as Investigation Continues

A cordon remains in place around Newcastle Street while police carry out a thorough investigation. Detective Inspector Gail Routledge said:

“This is a serious assault that has left a man with significant injuries. We arrived quickly on the scene and have arrested two men in connection with this incident. A cordon will be in place while we continue with the investigation.”
