Police Hunt Sick Attacker After OAP Pushed and Injured in Gosport

Police are on the lookout for a thug who pushed a 69-year-old man to the ground, leaving him with a serious head injury in Gosport.

OAP Pushed to Ground in Shocking Attack

The victim was walking with his wife, who’s in a wheelchair, along Bury Road at around 5.50pm on Sunday, September 25. A man in his late 20s or early 30s, riding a bike, confronted him before violently shoving him backwards. The pensioner hit his head hard on the road.

Attacker Bikes Off Into the Distance

After the assault, the attacker rode off towards Stoke Road, leaving the injured man needing urgent hospital treatment. He is currently being treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the brutal attack or has information about the cyclist. Call the Eastern Investigation Team on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
