Gun Fired in Brighton Street Brawl – Police Hunt Two Suspects
Police are in hot pursuit after a firearm was reportedly discharged during a midday scuffle on Rock Place, Brighton. The incident happened just after 11.50am on Monday, 19 October, involving three people.
Victim Safe as Armed Pair Flee Scene
One suspect was carrying a gun, which is believed to have been fired at the scene. Luckily, the victim – a man – escaped without any injuries. Police swooped in fast, deploying firearms officers and a helicopter, but the two suspects slipped away.
Who Are The Suspects?
- Man: White, mid to late 20s, short mousey brown hair, dark blue jeans, black puffer jacket
- Woman: Late teens or early 20s, slim build, long blonde hair, red coat with fur-trimmed hood
Detective Inspector Donna Ward told us: “This is a fast-paced investigation. We believe the victim may have known the suspects. Thankfully, no injuries were sustained. We continue to look for the pair and urge anyone with info to come forward.”
Road Closures and Appeal for Witnesses
St James’s Avenue in Kemptown remains partially closed as police carry out enquiries. Officers assure there’s no wider danger to the public but warn to expect ongoing high-visibility patrols.
