Man Found Critically Injured in Epsom Street
Police are hunting for witnesses after a 36-year-old man was discovered seriously hurt in the middle of Miller Place, off Sherwood Way, Epsom, early this Saturday morning.
A passerby spotted the injured man just after 5am and emergency services rushed him to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His family have been informed.
Quiet Epsom Shaken by Shocking Incident
Locals describe the area as peaceful, rarely troubled by incidents. A police source said, “There is never any trouble up here on the east side. It’s a really nice place to live, and we hardly ever get called up here.”
The road remains cordoned off as officers investigate what happened.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Superintendent Kerry Haddleton, leading the inquiry, urged anyone who was near Sherwood Way or Horton Lane between midnight and 5:30am to come forward. She said:
“We are exploring several possibilities about how this man ended up lying in the street so badly injured. People with any information can really help our investigation. If you saw or heard anything, please contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference 45170131251.”
