Man Found Dead, Two Hurt in Shocking Abbey Wood Incident
A grim scene unfolded at the junction of Godstow Road and Harrow Manorway in Abbey Wood on the evening of Thursday, 5 December. One man died, and two others suffered injuries in a serious incident.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
Emergency services sprang into action shortly after 9:20 PM. Ambulance crews, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), and an incident response officer were all dispatched to the troubled spot.
Two people were treated on site. One was taken to hospital by a third party, while the condition of the other remains unclear. Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Probe Non-Suspicious Death
The Metropolitan Police revealed officers initially arrived investigating a missing person report. Instead, they found an unresponsive man. The death is being treated as non-suspicious, with police working to contact the next of kin.

“We were called at 9:23 PM on Thursday to reports of an incident at Godstow Road and Harrow Manorway,” a spokesperson said.
“We sent ambulance crews, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), and an incident response officer to assist.”
