Tragic Crash: BMW Overturns in West Hagbourne
A black BMW 1 Series flipped on Chilton Road, West Hagbourne, at around 9.15pm on Saturday (14/11). The 41-year-old driver died at the scene.
Investigation Underway
Police say the car left the road for unknown reasons before overturning in a nearby field. The man’s family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
PC Chris Weatherley of Abingdon’s Joint Operations Unit said: “This is a single vehicle collision where the car left the road and overturned. We are keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the vehicle beforehand.”
Police Seek Crucial Witnesses
Officers are especially eager to speak with a man who helped at the scene before emergency crews arrived. He may work for a security company and was travelling from Chilton towards Didcot.
The BMW is believed to have come from the A34, heading towards Didcot at the time of the crash.
Police also urge anyone with dash-cam footage or who saw the BMW around the time of the accident to come forward.
