Bracknell Man Dies After Mysterious Head Injury
Tragic news from Bracknell as 34-year-old Agapito de Sousa has been officially named as the victim who suffered a serious head injury last weekend. Despite being rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital, Mr de Sousa sadly died on Tuesday.
Fresh Arrest Made in Death Investigation
Police hunting for answers made a new arrest this morning. A 39-year-old local man has been detained on suspicion of manslaughter and theft. He is currently in custody.
Meanwhile, three other men, initially accused of grievous bodily harm and murder, have been released without charges. The probe centres on the incident at Twin Bridges Roundabout underpass, where Mr de Sousa was found at 3.30am on Sunday.
Police Appeal for Witnesses as Investigation Continues
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr de Sousa at this extremely difficult time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Bosley, head of the Major Crime Unit.
“We ask the public not to speculate but to come forward if they have any information. Mr de Sousa was last seen leaving a property around 3am, riding a white electric scooter with black handles.”
Officers have lifted cordons at Twin Bridges Roundabout and Binfield Road, but a police presence remains while the probe continues.
