Dorset Police Probe Ends After Man’s Death Deemed Natural

Dorset Police rushed to Milford Road at 9.05pm on Saturday 18 March 2023 after reports of an assault. A man in his 60s suffered serious head injuries and was hospitalised.

Tragically, the man died on the morning of Saturday 8 April. Detectives from the Force’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) immediately launched an inquiry, treating the death as suspicious at first.

Post-Mortem Clears Any Foul Play

After thorough enquiries and a post-mortem examination, police confirmed the death was due to natural causes. There was no evidence linking the March 18 assault to his passing.

Arrests Released, No Charges Filed

  • Two men, aged 18 and 20, arrested for murder and conspiracy to pervert justice
  • One woman, 44, arrested for conspiracy and assisting an offender
  • All released without charge and face no further police action
