Tragedy on the Roads: Two Teens Die in Donegal Crash
A heartbreaking car crash in Inishowen, Co Donegal, has claimed the lives of two local teens. The fatal smash happened just after midnight on the R238 at Terrawee, Gleneely, around 12:30am.
Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash
The car, carrying three young people returning from work, veered off the road in a devastating single-vehicle collision. Two victims – a young man and woman in their late teens – died at the scene. A third teen escaped with injuries that are not life-threatening and was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital.
Community Mourns Another Heartbreaking Loss
Cllr Terry Crossan, Cathaoirleach of Inishowen Municipal District, spoke out about the tragedy. “This region has seen too many similar losses. The death of another young girl and boy is absolutely heartbreaking,” he said, reflecting the community’s deep sorrow.
Gardaí Appeal for Witnesses
Buncrana Gardaí are calling on anyone who was on the R238 between midnight and 1am to come forward. They especially want dash-cam or any other camera footage to help piece together what happened.
