Tragic M27 Crash Claims Life of Young Dad Luke Shaw

Tributes pour in for Luke Shaw, 20, who died after a smash on the M27 near Portsmouth. The Bitterne man passed away in hospital on Wednesday, June 29, days after a late-night collision on Sunday, June 26.

Horrific Collision on the M27

Luke was a backseat passenger in a blue Vauxhall Corsa heading eastbound between Fareham and Portsmouth around 11:15pm when the crash happened. Two other men aged 19 and 20 were also injured but have since left hospital.

Family Pays Emotional Tribute

“Luke was a son, a brother, and an uncle. He was loved by many,” said his mum, Tracy Pearce. “Although Luke may not be with us in person anymore, he will always remain in our memories and most importantly our hearts. Since passing, a light has gone out in all our lives.”

His dad, Gary Shaw, added: “Luke was not only my son, he was my best friend. I am so proud of the man he had become and all he achieved, particularly at Kwik Fit where he was respected, loved, and valued.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses
