Two Children Seriously Injured in Penicuik Crash

Crash Shakes Bog Road

Two youngsters, aged 11 and 13, were rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Edinburgh after a nasty collision on Bog Road, Penicuik. The smash, involving a Volkswagen T-Cross, happened at around 3:20pm on Sunday, 19 January 2025.

Three Kids Caught Up in Collision

  • An 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
  • A 12-year-old girl involved escaped unscathed.

The road was shut temporarily as police examined the scene.

Police Hunting for Witnesses

Sergeant Fraser Mitchell of Police Scotland said: “Our enquiries remain ongoing as we work to establish the full circumstances of this collision. Anyone with any information or dash cam footage should get in contact, no matter how insignificant it may seem.”
