Investigation Underway, Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Superintendent Stephen Jennings, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said:

“We are in the early stages of our investigation, but we’re piecing together what happened and how the victim came to be attacked.

“This happened in a residential area, so naturally people will be concerned. We’ve made quick arrests and believe there’s no wider threat to the public.

“You’ll see an increased police presence in the area as we carry out enquiries. If you saw or heard anything, or have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, please get in touch.”
