Two Teens Arrested After Teenager Stabbed in Oxford

A stabbing in Blackbird Leys, Oxford, sparked a police crackdown this afternoon (14/6). Two boys, both 16, are now in custody, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

14-Year-Old Victim Hospitalised

Just after 4 p.m., South Central Ambulance Service rushed officers to Coltsfoot Square. A 14-year-old boy had been stabbed and was quickly taken to hospital. His condition is serious but stable.

Police Launch Scene Watches and Investigation

Police have boosted their presence in the area with scene watches still ongoing. Superintendent Bruce Riddell, Oxford’s Local Policing Area Commander, praised officers for their swift action.

“This incident has resulted in my officers making very quick arrests,” said Superintendent Riddell. “I urge anyone who witnessed the stabbing to call 101 and reference incident 1477 (14/6).”

“I understand the community is concerned, but arrests have been made and investigations are thorough. If you have concerns, please speak to any officers in the area.”
