Moped Mobbers Snatch Phone on Ramsgate Street

A man in his 40s had his phone ripped from his hand by two moped thieves on Thursday afternoon.

Thugs Strike on Wrong-Way Moped

Between 12:45pm and 1:15pm on 6 February 2020, the victim was walking down Hardres Street near School Lane when two men on a moped zoomed up the one-way street the wrong way. They snatched the phone he was using and sped off.

Suspects Described as Masked, Black-Clad White Men

Thankfully, the victim was not injured. Both suspects wore black clothing and balaclavas, described as white males. The moped was light blue with a navy blue metal frame.

Police Launch Hunt for Moped Bandits

Detective Inspector Keith Taylor said: “Although reports like this are rare in the county, we are taking it seriously and will be carrying out a thorough investigation.”
