Teenagers Injured in East Ham Weapons Fight as Police Launch Urgent Appeal – UKNIP

Police have launched an urgent appeal after two teenagers were injured during a violent altercation involving weapons in East Ham.

At 12.37am  on Sunday, 27 April, Metropolitan Police officers were called to reports of a fight near Leigh Road and Burges Road.

Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, responded quickly to the scene. An 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy were found injured and were rushed to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries have since been confirmed as non-life-threatening.


No Arrests Yet as Police Conduct “Fast-Time” Enquiries

At this early stage of the investigation, no arrests have been made. Police officers are conducting fast-time enquiries to identify and locate those responsible for the violent attack.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

“Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries and urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.”

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD252/27April. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers.


Appeal for Witnesses and Information

The Met is appealing to residents, passers-by, and anyone in the Leigh Road and Burges Road area during the early hours of Sunday morning who may have seen anything suspicious to help assist with their investigation.

“If you saw the incident or have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile footage from the area around that time, please contact us immediately.”

The area remains a focus of police patrols to reassure the community as investigations continue.
