Sixty firefighters tackle London Bayswater Blaze

Around 60 firefighters from London Fire Service are currently tackling a fire in a house converted into flats in Kensington. Police have cordon off parts of Kensington Gardens Square in Bayswater. Whilst fire crews tackle the blaze. It is understood that the fire broke out in a flat and has spread to a second property within the block. There are currently eight fire appliances and an aerial ladder platform at the incident that broke out just beofre 7pm on Saturday evening. A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said:” We currently have Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters and officers who have been called to a flat fire on Kensington Gardens Square in Bayswater. A turntable ladder is also being used to tackle the blaze. The fire is affecting a flat on the third floor and a flat on the fourth floor of the converted six storey mid-terraced house. The Brigade was called at 1850. Fire Crews from Kensington, North Kensington, Paddington, Hammersmith, Euston and Chelsea fire stations are at the scene.
