A fire broke out in a school storage room on the ground floor, but thankfully no one was hurt.
Ex-Pupil Turned Hero Firefighter
Steven Cronin, a Kentish Town firefighter and former pupil, rushed to help. He said, “I was a pupil at this school until 2005 and the school holds a special place in my heart.”
He added, “Knowing the layout helped me find the fire quickly. I’m proud to have helped my old community. This is a job I won’t forget.”
Swift Response Quells Blaze
- The Brigade was alerted at 5.35am and had the fire under control by 6.37am.
- Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Kentish Town, Holloway, and Euston stations battled the blaze.
Cause of Fire: Faulty Cooling Fan
The fire is being treated as accidental, believed to have started due to a fault in a cooling fan in the storage room.
