Flight Diverted After Emergency Mid-Air

Flight EZY63UV from Toulouse was forced to ditch landing at Gatwick today (Monday, December 19). The plane declared an emergency mid-flight and instead touched down at Stansted Airport.

Strong Crosswinds Blamed for Incident

Reports suggest “strong cross winds” sparked the in-flight trouble. The flight was already 25 minutes late departing from Toulouse before the diversion.

Flight tracker updates added to the mystery, stating: “We regret that your flight has been rerouted. This is due to an unidentified problem.”

Passengers Rerouted to Gatwick

The diverted plane landed at Stansted at 12:49pm. Passengers were then booked onto a follow-up flight leaving Stansted at 1:29pm, aiming to get them to Gatwick by 2:16pm.

Airline spokespeople have been approached for comment but yet to respond.
