Teen Arrested After Blaze Rips Through Canterbury City Centre

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire that tore through a property in Canterbury city centre on Monday night.

Chaos on Guildhall Street as Fire Breaks Out

Kent Police rushed to Guildhall Street at around 8:45pm on December 2 after reports of a blazing fire. Officers quickly shut down nearby roads and evacuated residents from surrounding buildings as Kent Fire and Rescue battled the flames.

Suspect in Custody, Investigation Ongoing

The next day, the local teenager voluntarily turned himself into Canterbury Police Station and was promptly arrested. He remains in custody as detectives probe the cause and circumstances of the fire.
