Bad Education Back with a Bang!
BBC Three’s smashing comedy series Bad Education is filming its fifth series at Abbey Grove, London. A first-look snap reveals lead stars Layton Williams and Charlie Wernham back in action, promising fans a riotous return.
Fresh Faces, Familiar Fun
Layton Williams, the West End star from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, plays drama teacher Stephen Carmichael. Charlie Wernham, known from EastEnders, reprises his role as PE teacher Mitchell Harper. Comedy legends Mathew Horne (Gavin & Stacey) as Mr. Fraser and Vicki Pepperdine (Getting On) as headteacher Ms. Hoburn also return to stir up trouble.
Record-Breaking Reunion Sparks Excitement
The new series follows the hit Bad Education Reunion, which smashed BBC Three records as the channel’s highest-rated comedy since its 2022 relaunch. Series four pulled in over 1.2 million viewers, cementing its place as a fan favourite.
New Series, Same Crazy Crew
The show first hit screens in 2012, returning last Christmas to bid farewell to Jack Whitehall’s Alfie Wickers. Series four spotlighted the next generation—Stephen and Mitchell—as teachers navigating the chaos of Abbey Grove. Now the entire new Class K gang is back. Expect glamourous gossip Usma (Asha Hassan), wannabe roadman Inchez (Anthony J Abraham), lovable himbo Harrison (Bobby Johnson), clueless activist Jinx (Laura Marcus), oddball Warren (Ali Hadji-Heshmati), and lively hustler Blessing (Francesca Amewudah-Rivers) to cause even more mayhem.
Cast and Crew Buzzing with Excitement
“Thanks to you, we’re back and badder than ever, creating more chaos with a super talented bunch. More life, more laughs, more looks!” – Layton Williams
“I can’t wait for everyone to see the new series. It’s brilliant working with this amazing cast, crew, and writers,” said Charlie Wernham.
Executive Producer Freddy Syborn promised: “Expect more joyful moments and classic disruption from Abbey Grove.”
When and Where to Watch
The upcoming series, with six half-hour episodes, will hit BBC Three and iPlayer next year. It’s co-produced by Tiger Aspect Comedy and Jackpot Productions, with top-notch creative talent behind the scenes.
