A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Dagenham which prompted a major emergency service response.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Wood Lane at around 8.43pm on Thursday, 20 August.

The incident was understood to have taken place around Danette Gardens, just off Wood Lane, where emergency crews established a cordon and temporarily restricted access.

The London Ambulance Service said it sent an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene.

The first paramedic arrived within around three minutes of the call being received.

A man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.43pm yesterday to reports of a road traffic collision in Wood Lane, Dagenham.

“We sent an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene. The first paramedic arrived in around three minutes.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to hospital.”

The Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade also attended.

The extent of the man’s injuries has not been confirmed.
