Man Dies in Horror Crash on Notorious Hampshire Road
A 45-year-old man from Bordon tragically lost his life on Monday morning after crashing his silver Mercedes into the Portsmouth Road railway bridge on the B2070 near Liphook Golf Club. The smash happened around 11.25am on the infamous old A3 route known for deadly accidents.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
The man died instantly at the scene. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved, Hampshire Police confirmed. Fire crews from Liphook and Bordon, South Central Ambulance teams, and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance all rushed to the crash site.
The B2070 was closed for several hours while investigators combed the wreckage and pieced together what happened.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Hampshire Police are urging anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward. They want to hear from motorists who were near the scene to help with their probe.
