Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action in the early hours of Saturday, 20 July, tackling a cabin fire on Mote Road, Maidstone. The alarm was raised at 1.23am, triggering an urgent response.

Two fire engines raced to the scene, with crews using high-pressure hose reels and main jets to battle the flames. They deployed a full arsenal of equipment, including thermal imaging cameras, rescue tools like the jaws of life, hydraulic spreaders, rams, and cutters to ensure no stone was left unturned.
Fire Controlled by 2.38am – No Injuries Reported
The fire was brought under control swiftly by 2.38am. Thankfully, no injuries were reported during the blaze. Fire chiefs confirmed the cause remains unknown and a full investigation is underway.
“Our crews responded promptly and efficiently to the cabin fire on Mote Road. We are thankful that there were no injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire,” said a Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
