Emergency crews rushed to the A27 Shoreham Bypass at midday today after a car lost control on the westbound slip road. The vehicle veered off the road, sparking a swift response from fire and rescue teams.

Fire Engines Tackle Slip Road Incident

Eyewitnesses say the driver “lost control in the wet conditions,” causing the car to leave the roadway. Three fire engines arrived quickly, temporarily closing the slip road to the A27 while they recovered the vehicle.

An ambulance was called as a precaution but thankfully, no injuries were reported. Passersby stopped to watch, but no significant traffic delays have been revealed.
