Five People and Two Dogs Stranded After Cliff Fall

Alarm was raised at 2.55pm on 31 January after a section of cliff near King Edward Crescent gave way. The HM Coastguard, police helicopter, and fire service launched a swift rescue operation.

Thanks to quick action, all five people and the two dogs were rescued safely from the cliff top. Miraculously, no one was hurt.

Public Footpath Shut – Safety Zone Enforced

The dangerous collapse forced authorities to close the nearby public footpath and set up a safety cordon. Locals and visitors are warned to avoid the area for their own protection.

Cornwall Council on High Alert

Cornwall Council has been notified and is keeping a close eye on the cliff’s stability and the ongoing safety measures.
