Serious Crash Near Cowfold: Police Hunt Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

Emergency crews raced to the scene on the A272 near Cowfold after a nasty crash involving a white van and a sewerage lorry.

The collision happened at 8.55am on Tuesday, 22 September. The van driver, a 22-year-old man, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition. The lorry driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.

Police Urge Cowfold Drivers to Speak Up

Officers want to hear from anyone who drove between Cowfold and Buckbarn between 8.40am and 8.50am or saw the lorry before the smash. They’re especially keen to get hold of any dash-cam footage.

Sergeant Chris Ambrose said: “We are investigating the circumstances of this collision and are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or may have dash-cam footage of either of the vehicles.”
