Several rail services faced major disruptions late last night after a person was tragically hit by a train at Enfield Lock on Sunday, March 19.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene as services between Stratford and Hertford East, along with London Liverpool Street and Bishops Stortford / Audley End, were thrown into chaos. The Stansted Express was also hit, with delays following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Fatal Outcome Confirmed
Paramedics attended promptly but, sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious. A file will now be prepared for the coroner as investigations continue.
