Coastguard Warns: Watch for Strange Beach Finds After Bad Weather

A UK Coastguard spokesman said: “While it’s rare to find unexploded ordnance on our beaches, storms and high tides – especially in spring and autumn – can unearth dangerous objects.

If you spot anything unusually shaped or rusty, don’t touch it. Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. They’ll handle it safely with partner agencies.”
