Tragic End to Missing Man’s Story
The Orpington dad-of-four’s body was discovered earlier this month in the River Ouse, East Sussex. This came three weeks after he disappeared during a work Christmas night out in Lewes. The solemn service was led by Rev Matthew Hughes.
Emotional Tributes Honouring A Hero
Anthony made a poignant entrance, arriving on a vintage London Fire Brigade turntable ladder. The rain briefly paused as his coffin was carried into the church, followed closely by his family and fiancée Lucy Otto.
- Tributes were read by fiancée Lucy Otto, brothers Arran and Jared, close friend Steve Sheppard, football teammate Robert Utton, and colleague John Scanlon from the London Fire Brigade.
The community has rallied around to remember a brave firefighter whose life was cut tragically short during what should have been a festive night out.
