Fire Erupts at Portsmouth Dockyard – Now Under Control
A fierce blaze at Portsmouth Dockyard sent thick smoke billowing over the southern part of the city but has now been doused.
Mobile Crane Catches Fire
The fire broke out on a mobile crane and was quickly tackled by on-site fire officers alongside a Dockyard tug. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three crews from Cosham and Southsea to help contain the flames.
No Serious Injuries Reported
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported during the incident, with emergency teams acting swiftly to prevent further damage.
Investigation Underway
Dockyard authorities have launched a full investigation to find out what caused the blaze.
