Blaze Breaks Out in Kentish Town Flats – Six Fire Engines Rush to Scene

Massive Fire Hits Converted Flats on Lupton Street

Early this morning, six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were scrambled to tackle a fierce blaze at a house converted into flats on Lupton Street, Kentish Town.

Fire Tears Through Multiple Floors

The fire gutted parts of the first and second floors, plus a chunk of the ground floor conservatory. One woman suffered smoke inhalation but had already escaped before firefighters arrived. She’s receiving treatment on site from the ambulance service. Two other women also made it out safely before the Brigade got there.

Quick Response Quells Fire Within 90 Minutes

The Brigade was called at 7.09 a.m. and doused the flames by 8.30 a.m. Crews from Kentish Town, Holloway, Euston, Islington, and Hornsey joined forces to bring the fire under control.

Investigation Underway

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated as firefighters assess the scene.
