Five Dead, One Critical After Horror Crash on M6 in Staffordshire
Tragic Early Morning Smash
Five people have died following a devastating car crash on the M6 in Staffordshire this morning. The smash happened just before 4.30am on the southbound carriageway between junctions 15 and 14 near Seighford.
A car collided head-on with a heavy goods vehicle (HGV), prompting a rapid emergency response from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Emergency Teams Rush to Scene
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor, and two BASICS emergency doctors attended the scene. They found six people inside the car, which had suffered significant damage in the collision.
Five Dead, One Fighting for Life
Tragically, the driver and four passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The sixth occupant, a man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries but was stabilised by on-site medics. He was rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital with blue-light urgency for further treatment.
HGV Driver Unharmed
The lorry driver, a man, escaped without injury.
