Crash on the Medina! The Isle of Wight’s Cowes Floating Bridge collided with a yacht this afternoon, just before 4pm on Good Friday.

Bridge and Yacht Collide at East Cowes

The passenger ferry, owned by the Isle of Wight Council, bumped into a yacht while docking at East Cowes on the River Medina. Passengers managed to disembark safely, though the boat was at a strange angle on the slipway.

Injuries? None Reported

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported following the collision. Passengers were unharmed and the situation was quickly under control.

Council Silent on Incident

The Isle of Wight Council has been contacted for comment but has yet to respond.
