Jools Holland’s Hootenanny Roars Back with Full Cast for 30th Year!

After two years of scaled-back shows, Jools Holland’s Hootenanny is back bigger and better for its 30th anniversary! This New Year’s Eve special returns with a full guest lineup and a live audience, promising a cracking night of music and fun.

Star-Studded Line-Up Shines with 2022’s Biggest Hits

Joining Jools this year are three chart-toppers who ruled 2022. George Ezra, fresh off his third consecutive No.1 album Gold Rush Kid, will perform the top 3 hit Green Green Grass plus a Van Morrison cover. Rotherham’s Rebecca Lucy Taylor, aka Self Esteem, dazzled critics with her Mercury Prize-shortlisted album Prioritise Pleasure. She’s set to deliver a powerful track from her album plus a Diana Ross classic. Rising star Cat Burns, whose smash hit Go dominated the charts, completes this trio of 2022’s hottest names.

Legends from the ’60s to ’90s Join the Party

  • Andy Fairweather Low: Welsh guitar hero and founding member of 60s pop band Amen Corner, returns with timeless tunes.
  • Fine Young Cannibals: Birmingham’s ’80s chart-toppers, led by Roland Gift, will revive hits like their Billboard No.1 Good Thing.
  • Gabrielle: Celebrates 30 years of her debut smash hit Dreams, performing the song at the stroke of midnight.
  • The Real Thing: Britain’s most successful black group, marking 50 years since forming, perform classics including their No.1 You To Me Are Everything.

Special Guests & Midnight Madness

Also featuring US jazz-pop duo Rachael & Vilray, and the indefatigable Boogie Woogie Queen, Ruby Turner. Expect stirring pipes and drums from the 1st Battalion Scots Guards at midnight, plus some cheeky New Year’s resolutions from Jools and surprise faces! This is the ultimate party to ring in 2023 in style.
