Another 12 Prisoners Escaped by Mistake – Total Hits 103 This Year!
Justice Secretary David Lammy has revealed a fresh batch of 12 prisoners were wrongly released since November. This shocking update pushes the total bungled prison releases to a staggering 103 between April and now.
Two Dangerous Offenders Still On The Run
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Lammy warned: “I told Parliament a few weeks ago that there had been 91 erroneous releases up to that point. There have been 12 since then, and two individuals remain at large.”
Fixes in Place – But Problems Linger
Lammy said he was “pleased the trend is downwards” after new rules tightened release procedures. But with so many prisoners going walkabout by mistake, critics say the prison system’s shambles is far from fixed.
