The M25 anti-clockwise is shut between junctions 4 and 3 following a major collision. An elderly driver reportedly veered off the road and slammed into trees near Orpington and Swanley.

Some 15-20 emergency vehicles, including kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police and the air ambulance, rushed to the crash site. The air ambulance remains on scene as crews work urgently.
Massive Delays and Traffic Diversions
Drivers face bumper-to-bumper delays stretching 4 miles, with journey times up by an hour. Traffic is being diverted off the M25 at J4, rerouted west and north via the A224 towards Goddington and St Mary Cray, then eastbound on the A20 back to the M25 at J3 near Swanley.
Motorists are warned to expect long delays and plan alternative routes where possible.
