Part of Kent’s Lydd Airport is set to be a triage centre for migrants landing on nearby beaches. New arrivals will receive dry clothes, food, and a Covid test before heading on to Dover.

No Overnight Stays at Airport Site

The Home Office confirmed the site won’t be used for overnight accommodation. It’s strictly a quick processing stop for those arriving along the coast.
