Cyclist in Critical Condition After Hit-and-Run on Clapham Road
A cyclist is fighting for his life after a brutal hit-and-run crash on Clapham Road, SW9, late Tuesday evening.
Police and Paramedics Rush to Scene
Emergency services were called at 9:44pm on February 18 following reports of a severe collision between a car and a 38-year-old cyclist. Officers and London Ambulance Service crews found the cyclist critically injured and rushed him to a nearby hospital. He remains there with injuries believed to be life-changing.
Driver Flees, No Arrests Yet
The driver behind the wheel sped off, leaving the victim in a desperate state. Police have made no arrests so far and are hunting the hit-and-run driver.
“This was a serious collision that has left a man with devastating injuries,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said. “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward.”
