Elderly Women Knocked Down by Mob Scooter Madman in Shocking Hit-and-Run
Two elderly women, including one in her 90s, were knocked to the ground at a bus stop in Upper Wickham Lane near Cotton Road yesterday around midday. The culprit? An alleged hit-and-run mobility scooter rider – a man seen smoking a cigarette as he reversed his scooter into the victims before speeding off.
Police Launch Investigation After Shocking Incident
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they received a call at 1.35pm reporting the collision. A police spokeswoman said: “On Thursday, June 14 at 1.35pm, a member of the public contacted police stating he had seen a man on a mobility scooter collide with two elderly women in Upper Wickham Lane and make off. Police were informed the women were not injured, and the incident had occurred at midday.”
The witness reportedly captured footage of the event and was urged to hand it over to the police station immediately.
Outrage Erupts on Twitter
The video’s release sparked fury online. One Twitter user said: “This is just awful. It makes me so angry.” Another slammed the culprit as a “feral scumbag.”
Authorities continue to hunt the mobility scooter rider as the community demands justice for the vulnerable victims.
