New CCTV Released in Hunt for Missing Teen Charlie Smith
Dorset Police have stepped up the search for 13-year-old Charlie Smith with fresh CCTV footage. The Christchurch youngster vanished after last being spotted at around 3pm on Thursday, October 3, in Beaufort Road, Bournemouth. Charlie made his last family contact half an hour later at 3:30pm.
Final Sighting Captured on Camera
Officers have now recovered CCTV showing Charlie with an unidentified man near Jumpers Road, heading towards Barrack Road in Christchurch at about 4:45pm on the same day. This is believed to be his last confirmed sighting.
“Charlie has still not been in contact with family or friends, and we remain concerned for his welfare. We have been carrying out extensive enquiries to locate Charlie, and have obtained CCTV images of him in the company of a man in Christchurch on the afternoon of Thursday, October 3, 2024,” said Detective Chief Inspector Aimee Schock of Dorset Police.
What Charlie Was Wearing
- 5ft 1in tall, slim build
- Shoulder-length black hair with blonde roots
- Grey or black baggy jeans
- Black platform shoes with white shiny bats
- Blue baseball jacket with white sleeves
Police Plea: Help Bring Charlie Home
“I urge anyone with information about Charlie’s whereabouts or who can identify the man he was with to come forward immediately. And Charlie, please contact us or your family to let us know you’re safe. We just want to make sure you are okay,” added DCI Schock.
