Mayesbrook Park in Dagenham erupted into chaos today after reports of someone entering the boating lake triggered a massive emergency response.
Emergency Services Swarm Park as Police Helicopter Circles
- Three fire engines and a fire rescue unit rushed to Mayesbrook Park at 12:26pm.
- Police and London Ambulance Service urgently joined the scene.
- A police helicopter hovered and circled above from 1pm to 1:30pm, searching the area.
- Local witness Kelvin Yeboah said, “The helicopter was flying in circles but not doing much.”
Intense Search Yields No Sign of Missing Person
Despite a full-on search of the boating lake and nearby parkland, emergency crews found no trace of anyone in the water. The massive operation is now scaling back, although officers remain on site as a precaution.
