Urgent Search Underway for Missing Hove Dad and His Two Young Kids
Police and family are desperate to find Robert Roche, 36, and his two small children who vanished without a trace from Hove on Monday morning (14 August).
Dad and Kids Disappear After Nursery Trip
Robert, from Palmeira Square, Hove, left home at 9am with his son, three-year-old Joey, and daughter, 18-month-old Betsy, to drop them at a day nursery on Holland Road. But they never arrived.
The family reported them missing at 5.30pm after realising none had returned home.
What They Look Like
- Robert Roche: White, 5’10”, stocky build, dark hair.
- Children: Joey, 3, and Betsy, 18 months.
- Key detail: Betsy was in a very distinctive black Bugaboo Donkey stroller buggy with a pink hood, a step, and a “saddle” by the handlebar.
Police Appeal for Info
“We are searching the local area and urgently want to hear from anyone who has seen Robert and his children,” Detective Inspector Mick Jones said.
“If you spot them or know where they might be, call 101 or 999 immediately, quoting serial 1053 of 14/08. We also ask Robert to get in touch so we can meet and confirm they are all safe.”
So far, police say they are not treating the disappearance as suspicious, but say it’s totally out of character and they are deeply worried—especially for the little ones.
