Fire Rips Through London Maisonette
A three-roomed, split-level maisonette on the second and third floors was gutted by a raging fire last night. Seven people from an adjacent property managed to escape before firefighters arrived. Luckily, no injuries were reported.
Blaze Started in Bedroom, Spread Upstairs
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson revealed, “On arrival, crews found a well-developed fire in a maisonette above a parade of shops. Smoke was pouring from windows on the upper floor.”
They added, “The fire started in a bedroom on the lower floor and quickly spread up the stairs into the loft space.”
