Pregnant Mum Battles Bleeding Scare – Heroes Rush to Save Day
A frantic 999 call from dad Shal saw paramedics Alex Gilmore and Gracie Clarke spring into action as pregnant Pavandeep ‘Pavi’ battled heavy bleeding. The Dudley duo’s swift response helped save both mum and baby in a heart-stopping medical drama.
Against All Odds: Miracle Recovery and Happy Reunion
After a tense rush to hospital, Pavi made a full recovery. Last week, she reunited with Alex and Gracie in 1 alongside husband Shal and their healthy ten-week-old son, Shayen.
“We knew how serious and potentially life-threatening this condition was for both Pavi and baby Shay,” said paramedic Alex.
“Valuable seconds lost could have drastically changed everything. We did everything we could and rushed them to hospital. We couldn’t stop thinking about the family until hospital staff confirmed baby Shay had been safely delivered and Pavi was recovering.”
“The relief was unmatched. I’ve never seen a happier man than Shal that day.”
Grateful Family Praise Life-Saving Paramedics
Mum Pavi won’t forget the care she received during her terrifying ordeal. “I’d lost so much blood and was terrified for Shay and myself. I’m so grateful for the support they gave us. We feel truly blessed to have met such kind-hearted, dedicated people. They hold a special place in our hearts.”
Shal added: “When they arrived, I was panicked and helpless. They took over instantly and I knew my family was in safe hands. Meeting them again and introducing them to Shay feels amazing. We will never forget their heroism.”
Student Paramedic Proud of Early Career Lifesaving
Technician Gracie, training as a student paramedic at the time, shared:
“I instantly knew how serious Pavi’s condition was and relied on my training to help. To meet the family again and see the difference we made early in my career is something I’ll always be proud of.”
This incredible rescue is a reminder of the vital work paramedics do every day – often under the most intense pressure. Thanks to their quick thinking and bravery, a family’s nightmare ended in joy.
