Thousands of UK customers have been plunged into chaos after losing their home internet and landline services since 6.30pm tonight. Sky users are the hardest hit, but Virgin and BT customers are also reporting disruptions.

Sky Internet Crash Hits Thousands

Major outages are sweeping across South East England and Wales, leaving many unable to get online or make phone calls. More than 1,700 complaints have flooded Netflix alone as frustrated users struggle to connect.

Sky Confirms Fault, Repairs Delayed

A Sky spokesperson confirmed the issue this evening, admitting that the repair is taking longer than expected. “Broadband and Talk problems in South East 1 and Wales – You might not be able to get online or make/receive phone calls due to a problem in your local area,” they said.

“Our technical teams will continue to work overnight to fix the problem and we will provide an update on progress in the morning. We’re sorry for the continued inconvenience.”

Virgin and BT Also Affected

Though Sky is bearing the brunt, some Virgin Media and BT customers have reported similar issues, pointing to a wider network disruption.
