Chaos in Wallington as Three Dangerous Dogs Go on the Loose
Wallington erupted into chaos on Sunday afternoon after three dangerous dogs escaped from a property, sparking a major police response and widespread panic among residents.
Terrifying Streets: Dogs Chase Locals, Police Rush In
Social media buzzed with reports of the dogs roaming the streets, chasing pedestrians and causing fear. Emergency services warned locals to stay indoors while officers scrambled to contain the situation.
One terrified resident, Yvonne Bee, described the ordeal: “The dogs chased my daughter down the street before some kind passersby in cars and a white van stepped in to help. She got away okay, but I hope no one else got hurt.”
Police Use Dog Control Poles, Avoid Firearms
At least one person is believed to have been bitten before police managed to capture the animals. Officers used dog control poles to safely restrain the dogs, which were then taken to kennels. Eyewitness Jon Blay said: “Firearms were only a last resort. The police response was spot on.”
Angela Duncan confirmed: “Dogs taken away by police. They are alive.”
Public Demands Answers, Calls for Stricter Dangerous Dog Laws
Social media users questioned how three large dogs could escape simultaneously and debated what fate awaits the animals. “I hope there’s no rush to put them down,” one user commented.
Residents are demanding stronger controls on dangerous dogs and better emergency communication. Helicopters were also spotted hovering over Wallington during the police operation.
Police have yet to release an official statement or confirm injuries. More details are expected as the investigation unfolds.
