Building Collapse Shuts Down Garrard Street, Reading
Chaos hit Reading this Thursday morning as a building collapsed on Garrard Street. The alarm was raised at 11.19am, with emergency crews rushing to the scene.
Street and Car Park Closed, Three Injured
Garrard Street remains shut, and the nearby NCP car park is off-limits to both pedestrians and vehicles. Three people were treated for injuries on-site before being rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Firefighters Launch Major Rescue Operation
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service is leading the response, backed by an Urban Search and Rescue Team from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue. Authorities have warned the public to steer clear of the area for now.
