Waitrose Recalls Frozen King Prawns Over Raw Shellshock
Waitrose has urgently recalled its Frozen Cooked & Peeled Jumbo King Prawns and Essential Frozen Cooked King Prawns. The reason? Some packs may contain raw, uncooked prawns, making them dangerous to eat.

- Waitrose 1 Cooked and Peeled Jumbo King Prawns 200g – Batch code VN394, all date codes up to and including June 2023
- Essential Frozen Cooked King Prawns 250g – Batch code VN394, all date codes up to and including January 2024
What Shoppers Should Do
If you’ve bought any of these prawns, do NOT eat them. Return the product to the store for a full refund.
