Whitstable and Margate RNLI lifeboats were scrambled at 6:15am today to a flipped yacht in Reculver Bay. The scene was tense as rescuers arrived to find two men, both in their 60s, desperately clutching the overturned hull.

The men had been stranded in the chilly sea since around 4:30am, battling the cold and rough conditions before help arrived. Their survival is a testament to their grit and quick action.
