Drama on the Riverbank! Emergency crews stormed to the rescue after a woman’s car got stuck in the mud near Knight Road, Strood earlier today.

Massive Rescue Effort

Kent Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene with three fire engines, a water safety unit, and a height vehicle to help free the stranded woman.

Thankfully, crews pulled her to safety before handing her over to 123

  • South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb)
  • The vehicle was later recovered from the muck without further incident.

    Officials are urging everyone to be super careful near riverbanks, especially when the weather turns nasty. Muddy banks have been causing all sorts of trouble, trapping vehicles and risk to life.
